8. Edward Robertson

RESIDENCES:
( - ) Parish Killin, Perthshire, Scotland.
( -1780- ) Ardchyle (Ardchoill Parish) (4 miles SW of Killin), Perthshire,
Scotland.
"Ardchyle (various spellings you already know but I have also seen Ardekyle) now consists of 2 houses! One built in 1900 and the other - a cottage- much older - probably 18th century... The whole area is called Ardchyle but there are no longer any other buildings. I saw one ruin on the hillside. Neighbouring farms are Ledcharry and Auchlyne (as I said there are still Christies there) but only a tiny handful of dwellings at each. There are a few ruins scattered about but not many. Killin itself is still a tiny village with a population of less than 1500." Message of 21 Apr. 2007 from Val Roberts.
